Global Access, Victorville is a key asset for the Inland Empire. Over the next five years, it is projected to be California's largest master planned multimodal complex that will stimulate more than $1 billion in private investment for the benefit of the goods movement and logistics system in the High Desert Region.
An east-west highway, The High Desert Corridor (HDC), is planned to link Victorville's freight, train and air routes, and the region's massive goods movement capacity, directly to LA County. This will link I-15 to Highway 14 and I-5, and enable significant traffic volumes to divert from the LA Basin, and help ease regional congestion.
The largest fully integrated commercial development in the region, Global Access is comprised of three development divisions which include:
Southern California Logistics Airport,
a 2,500-acre world-class aviation and air cargo facility serving domestic and international needs.
Southern California Logistics Centre,
a 2,500-acre commercial and industrial complex totaling 60 million square feet of diverse development.
Southern California Rail Complex,
a planned 3,500-acre intermodal rail and multimodal complex including rail-served facilities.
* Southern California Logistics Airport (SCLA) is an international logistics hub with multimodal capabilities, including ground transportation services and a 2-hour turnaround. Many major corporations are locating to SCLA, including Boeing, General Electric Aircraft Engineering and Pratt & Whitney. More than 100 companies have chosen to conduct business at Global Access.
Dr Pepper Snapple Group is developing a $120 million, 850,000-square-foot manufacturing and distribution facility at the city’s Southern California Logistics Airport (SCLA) and will become the company’s main Western distribution hub, serving California and parts of the Southwest.
LAMBRA Enterprise Zone– SCLA is a Local Agency Military Recovery Act enterprise zone and offers State tax credits for hiring, sales and use tax, and a NOL carryover to qualifying businesses locating at SCLA.
