Victorville Council Votes to Temporarily Defer DIF and VVWRA Fees
Posted By Staff Reporter on May 2, 2009
As of April 8th, the Victorville City Council voted to temporarily defer Development Impact Fees (DIF) and Victor Valley Wastewater Reclamation Authority (VVWRA) fees for Industrial, Commercial, and Multi-Family development projects until prior to Final Inspections.
This policy will assist developers looking to build in Victorville because it reduces the upfront fees but some stipulations apply: This fee deferral only applies to any complete application submitted to Building for Plan Check prior to July 1, 2010. All fees shall continue to be calculated at the time of submittal. This deferral applies only to DIF and VVWRA fees. All DIF and VVWRA fees will be due prior to Final Inspection or June 29, 2012, whichever comes first. There shall be no refunds for DIF and VVWRA fees already paid, except for the current policy for projects that pulled permits but failed to start construction. This policy, and the temporary deferral of DIF and VVWRA fees, shall expire on June 29, 2012.
