Q3 Husing Report available
High Desert statistics
By: John Husing
John Husing Market Report Summary:
There appears to be strong evidence that the Inland Empire's housing markets have now passed the point when prices will be falling. This signals that the worst of the housing crisis is over and that, from here forward, demand will remain strong and prices will rise. These conclusions are based upon the fact that inland affordability is at historic highs both locally and for coastal county residents seeking affordable homes. That affordability is allowing people who have been priced out of housing markets since the middle 1990s to finally be able to purchase homes. The availability of FHA guaranteed conforming loans is helping as well. In the short term, the federal tax credits are an incentive that will focus attention on the bargains in the market and help some potential buyers set aside their fears.
